For the following areas...

Coastal waters from Okaloosa-Walton County Line to Mexico Beach out

20 NM...



At 125 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts

was located 11 nm south of Panama City Beach, moving east at 30

knots.



HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to 40 knots, and large hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Waterspouts can quickly form and capsize boats...damage 

         vessels...and create suddenly higher waves. Make sure all 

         on board are in a secure location and wearing life jackets. 

         Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots...suddenly higher 

         waves...frequent lightning...and heavy downpours. Make sure 

         all on board are wearing life jackets. Large hail could 

         result in injury and damage to boats and vessels.



Locations impacted include...

Panama City Beach and Laguna Beach.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily

overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor

immediately.

* At 131 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 11 nm southeast of

  Oriskany Reef, or 32 nm south of Mary Esther, moving northeast at

  35 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and large hail.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 

           suddenly higher waves. Large hail could result in 

           structural damage.
